Ventura ER Ventura is our first pure Andalusian foal from our mare ,Teodora LF Born June 2006, we expect her to be grey but but at two already she is still extremely dark bay.

Ventura surprised us on June 21st at about 9:00 pm. I had brought her dam in from the pasture at around 8:00 pm, she looked like she would foal soon, but not within the hour! We had the video surveillance set up so we could see her stall from the house, but we could only watch the mare or TV, not both. I saw no harm in allowing my son to watch a Soccer World Cup game, but when he turned it off, he shouted: "Mom, there's a baby out there!" Luckily all had gone well and there was a perfect little bay filly in the barn looking up at us as we rushed in. Ventura has been surprising us ever since with her affectionate and curious personality. Both sire and dam are dressage competitors; her sire currently competes at Intermediate level with Carol McCardle of Tir Na Nog. Victorioso V is of pure Guardiola bloodlines, imported from Spain. Ventura has correct, straight movement and wonderful conformation. She leads, ties and picks up her feet well. She absolutely loves attention, including brushing and petting. We will hate to part with her, but the idea is to sell our offspring, so we are looking for the perfect home for her. | | |
