Bandolero in Competition
In 2008 we competed in Second Level and started Musical Freestyle.
We performed Second Level Pas de Deux in competition and in exhibiton alongside an Andalusian mare, Selene AC, ridden by Linda de Wilde-Petersen
Bandolero competed in First and Second level Dressage in 2007, and acheived Regional Championship qualifying scores in First level ridden by his amateur owner.
Bandolero and I received First Level AA USDF Reserve Champion at the Region 6 Championships in September, 2007! This was an amazing feat, with the fierce competition and unfortunate weather and footing condidtions - I still can't believe it, this is one terrific horse!
He also received Champion USDF All Breed Award for First Level AA for the Foundation of the Pure Spanish Horse (PRE)
Bandolero recieved 3 reserve National Championships and 1 National Championship at the PAAHL Canadian Nationals in 2007:
Reserve National Champion Senior Stallion
Reserve National Champion Andalusian English Pleasure
Reserve National Champion Andalusian Dressage Hack
National Champion First Level Dressage
Bandolero took Best movement and Senior Stallion Championships at the NWAHA Festival of the Andalusian as a 5 year old in 2006; and Reserve Champion Andalusian English Pleasure in 2007
Bandolero in Exhibition
Bandolero portrait
Bandolero has classic baroque style beauty, with short back, long silky mane and tail, and large strong bones and feet.
His magnificient movement includes not only the typical high stepping knee action,
but also the espressive trot extensions coveted in Dressage.
At a recent Sabine Schut-Kery clinic, the renowned Baroque horse trainer and exhibitionist expressed her desire (and recent efforts) to find an Andalusian just like him for herself!
Bandolero at Liberty
The majority of the non-performance pictures in the slideshows were taken by the very talented artist and photographer, Dee Dee Murry at Cedar Creek Farms in September 2007
Bandolero is of Leviton bloodlines, which are known for producing spectacular movement, calm and
gentle temperament, and incredible work ethic.
The famous Spanish Dressage Olympic Star, Evento, is also of Leviton bloodlines. Bandolero is registered with IALHA and is "Revised" with the PRE Spanish Studbook in Spain as approved breeding stallion.
