Evento
Leviton x Tecnica 1985

Evento is a Pure Spanish Stallion, PRE, from Spain, and he was ridden in the 1996 Olympic Games by Ignacio Ramblas in dressage.

Evento was born in 1985 and is a son of Leviton. He was bred by and stands at stud for the Yeguada Militar in Spain.

In 1994 the Andalusian horses Evento, Flamenco, and Albus participated for the first time at the Grand Prix level in international dressage. All three horses obtained excellent results and qualified to compete in the European Championship, and ultimately to participate in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
The Spanish team obtained sixth in team rankings at the Olympics and Evento scored 11th in the individual dressage competition.

Evento was featured on the cover of the 1997 Issue I International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse magazine.
The IALHA printed several hundred posters from a photograph of EVENTO taken by Susan Sexton at the Olympics in Atlanta. The posters were given away as a breed promotion and turned out to be the big hit of the USDF Annual Convention held in Albuquerque, NM. In fact, the posters were so popular that I understand there are some now hanging in the USDF headquarters.

Leviton
Agente x Usada 1956

Pure Spanish Andalusian Stallion - Pura Raza Espanola (PRE)

The Spanish stallion, Leviton is great grandsire to Bandolero and Zunia. Leviton is a Pure Spanish Andalusian Stallion (PRE) from Spain. He is also the sire of multiple champions in Spain and several breeding stallions and performance horses including the Spanish Olympic horse, Evento (above).

Before his death in 1999, Leviton was known for being one of the greatest PRE breeding stallions in Spain, and had produced more Andalusian horse champions than any other stallion alive at his time. In The Book of Merits of Spanish Pure-Bred Horses and Mares, Salvador Sanchez Barbudo described his thoughts about Leviton:

I first saw this horse at an early age at a presentation in the 'Cortijo de Cuartos' and his grace of movement left me speechless. Like his father, he had lost some excessive height in exchange for magnificent extensions, but, above all, for an extraordinary cadence. The strides gradually becoming longer and more separate.
